Richter's work is fascinating! I was fortunate to see a few of his paintings in Miami a couple of years ago. One thing that intrigues me is that he defies that "rule" about keeping one's work of the same apparent "style", and yet he is very successful. His body of work is indeed cohesive and directional; however this is not overtly apparent. Richter is one of the greatest artists of our time.
Hi Stephanie, I would love to see them in person ... I could so relate to what he was talking about with the process of painting. I agree with you. all the best ,lorraine
Artist and jewelry designer ,
I am searching for a balance between color and texture, i apply many layers of paint and will scratch, sand , and wipe away to reveal what lies beneath the surface of my artwork. I am very drawn to the idea of "wasbi wabi", the art of the imperfect , and it is often revealed in my jewelry designs and artwork. visit my new website penningtonpleis.com
